While the new dictionary lacks the depth of its competitors, it is clearly equal to them in terms of reach and surpasses them in terms of currency. Vancouver Community College has compiled this glossary of 5000 Canadian legal and judicial terms in plain English and their equivalents in six other languages (Chinese, Farsi, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese). Authoritative texts, such as those published by Irwin Law, are an important and authoritative source of legal definitions, particularly with regard to new legal terminology.
