Questions Describe up to 7 transactions that the practice completed during the submission period from July 1, 2020 to May 13, 2022. Up to two of the transactions that have not yet been closed can be announced, but for which significant work has been done during the submission period. All other transactions must be completed during the submission period. For each transaction, please include the client, the type of transaction, the role your firm played and any other firm that represented your client, the value of the transaction, the date of the announcement, the closing date and the principal lawyers involved. The brief description of each transaction apart from these details should not exceed 300 words and describe why the transaction was new or unique, what challenges the transaction team overcame, why the outcome was so impressive or important to the client or industry, and/or why your company`s team is the one that closed that deal. Transactions must be completed within the submission deadlines. Work done by lateral entrants in their previous company should not be included. Please clearly indicate any part of an entry that must be kept confidential. Submissions that are heavily marked as confidential will be difficult to write and therefore difficult to attribute, so please keep this in mind. Any lawyer from any part of the legal industry, whether it is a law firm, an in-house legal department, a public interest, government, education or elsewhere, who has had a profound impact on the profession or community. Employment in the profession plays no role in this award.

Description of the award This award honours a young lawyer who has done outstanding work in all transactional practices over the past two years. Examples may include addressing notable issues, demonstrating business development skills, improving service systems or other outstanding work to clients and positively impacting their organization. Nominees can come from all corners of the legal profession, be it a law firm, an in-house legal department, government, public interest, education, alternative legal service providers, etc. They should be nearing the end of their careers. Description of the award This prestigious award is given to a law firm that has had an exceptional year in terms of range of services, made great profits, but also demonstrates commitment and progress in an area not only related to its practice, such as pro bono, diversity or innovation in the delivery of legal services. This award covers the period from January 2021 to the date of submission. The winning firm is featured in The American LawyerDeadline: April 28, 2022 Required Documents A 500-word essay outlining the issues and detailing the implications that reflect why this lawyer was an exceptional negotiator during the filing period. Material required A brief description (no more than two pages) of why the arrangement is unique and beneficial.

Please explain the role played by each supplier, how they worked together on this issue, examples of how different skills or business models helped the client, whether the team worked together before, why the agreement was an additional benefit for the client, etc. Customer testimonials are welcome. Assistant General Counsel Description of the award As the role of the GC shifts more towards the operational strategist, this award is intended to recognize the work of an associate or assistant GC in assisting a GC in fulfilling its new responsibilities.
