Donna was educated in Canberra and started working in the public sector after graduating before entering the legal industry in 1994. She has an in-depth knowledge of ACT and NSW residential real estate issues – she has spent the last 25 years focusing on nothing else! Pete is an experienced attorney in civil and criminal procedure in federal and state courts. Over the past eight years, he has overseen other litigators and led a number of high-stakes cases as the city`s executive assistant attorney and general counsel for the city of Dallas. Pete often speaks with lawyers and assists them in various disputes such as disputes related to the police and fire pension system, civil lawsuits, evidence, pre-trial discoveries including eDiscoveries, bankruptcy, criminal investigations, and terrorism on paper. He holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law in New York and a Bachelor of Arts in American History from Columbia College. Pete was also a naval officer and attorney in the U.S. Navy`s JAG Corps from 1974 to 1981. Pete is Chair of the Technology Law Section of the International Municipal Lawyers Association and lectures nationally on technology law issues, including the use of technology in legal practice. Charles has extensive experience in the public sector. He is a judge of the Municipal Court in one jurisdiction, while in another he is a prosecutor in the Municipal Court. Charles interned with the City of Lubbock, the Travis County Attorney`s Office, and the Harris County Public Defenders Office. He had the distinction of being the personal assistant to Texas Secretary of State Geoffrey Connor.
Charles has represented clients before municipal, district, state and district courts in civil and criminal matters. Charles is highly qualified in drafting contracts, deeds, settlement agreements and legal assignments. Charles received her B.A. from St. Edward`s University in Austin and her J.D. from Texas Tech University. Erin is an accomplished legal writer and attorney with experience in municipal and appellate courts. She focuses primarily on prosecutorial services for the firm`s clients. Erin holds a Juris Doctor from St. Mary`s University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Texas. While in law school, she was editor of St.
Mary`s Law Journal. Erin went on to be the lawyer for the Honourable Sandee Bryan Marion. She also worked for Judge W. Royal Furgeson of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. Prior to joining our team, Erin gained experience in law enforcement, city attorney and litigation at the law firm Denton, Navarro, Rocha, Bernal, Hyde & Zech, P.C. Jon has nearly 30 years of experience as an attorney, of which more than 20 years were spent in the city of San Antonio, where he served as deputy city attorney. Jon has advised municipal departments and officials on a variety of municipal law matters. He has experience as a municipal court attorney, advisor to planning and zoning commissions, and advisor to zoning adjustment boards. Jon has guided municipalities through Texas Public Information Act (Open Records) compliance, intellectual property/information technology procedures, compliance, procurement, and other legal matters. He has negotiated and drafted IT and IP transactions, technology systems implementation agreements, service descriptions, IT consulting contracts, technology proposals, and hardware, software, maintenance and support contracts. It has also prepared trademark applications.
Jon received his B.A. from the University of Texas and his J.D. from St. Mary`s University School of Law. Marianella Céspedes Joseph («Nella») has over 20 years of legal experience as an international lawyer and paralegal. Over the past 11 years, he has focused on collaborating with government agencies, particularly cities and public school districts. She focuses on open files, procurement, human resources, litigation, policy review and grievances. Prior to joining the law firm Bojorquez, Nella worked in the legal department of Leander ISD. She has also worked for well-known Texas law firms as a senior paralegal in litigation in state and federal court cases, with a focus on labor law, constitutional law, construction law, and contract disputes.
She worked for the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB). Nella received her law degree from the Universidad Escuela Libre de Derecho in San José, Costa Rica, and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Texas School of Law. She is admitted to the bar of Costa Rica and Texas. Rezzin is an associate attorney who has gained valuable experience in city government while serving as a lawyer (and previously as an articling student) in the Tyler City District Attorney`s Office. Rezzin was a prosecutor in the city court. He has carried out a number of municipal works, such as: responding to requests for public documents, drafting regulations and guidelines, land use and legal research. Rezzin served as presiding judge of general and special elections for Harris County. He excels in designing a high-quality work product after serving as a student writing consultant for the lawyer process class at law school. Rezzin holds a bachelor`s degree from the University of Houston and a Juris Doctor from Texas Southern University-Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
Cristian has experience in municipal law and focuses on public meetings, public records, purchasing, ethics, enforcement and by-law drafting. Prior to joining the bojorquez law firm, Cristian served as Deputy Prosecutor of the City of Laredo, where he provided legal advice to various municipal departments, including construction, health, tax and information technology departments, and was legal counsel to city councils and commissions. Cristian also worked for 3 years as an editorial attorney for the Open Records division of the Texas Attorney General`s Office. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor from the University of Houston. Helen worked in law firms for many years before taking the plunge and starting her law studies. Their various legal support roles familiarized them with the practical operation and application of the law; The lawyers she worked with and came into contact with planted a seed. As soon as the core began to germinate, Helen began her law studies as an adult student. After her admission, she developed a passion for real estate, estate planning and estate administration for the deceased.
